Joi + Blokes Review: "No Hidden Fees, Ever" Sits Above a $600-a-Year Fee

Joi + Blokes runs two hormone brands out of one checkout, and each side hides a different thing. On the women's side the prices are honest-looking and incomplete: nine hormone products from $49 to $89 a month, above a sentence reading "No hidden fees, ever." and beside another charging "$50/month (billed quarterly)" for the labs and clinician visits the therapy requires — while the homepage's own comparison table prints the company's membership fee as $0. On the men's side the number is complete and the term is not: "starts from just $99" is the twelve-month rate, $1,188 charged up front, and the shortest plan the company sells is $149 a month for three months prepaid. It also sells compounded GLP-1s, at $199 and $299 a month after a half-price first month — and in June 2026 the FDA wrote to it about how those were advertised.

Joi + Blokes' /about page states it is "Practicing telemedicine across all 50 states", read on August 9, 2026 — but testosterone, which is nine of the thirteen prices on this review by way of the hormone and TRT rows, is narrower and the company says so on the product page: "Due to state regulations we cannot ship testosterone to the following states: AL, AR, CT, DE, GA, HI, LA, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, OK, PA, RI and SC." That is sixteen states, leaving testosterone available in 34 states plus the District of Columbia. ⚠ Joi's own prose beside that list says "We can ship testosterone to all but 15 states" and then names sixteen. Separately, New York and New Jersey are served at different prices: "due to local state requirements, we have different pricing in these two states."

What’s included

  • On the Joi side, the drug and nothing else — labs and clinician visits are a separate "$50/month (billed quarterly)" charge
  • On the Blokes side and on the GLP-1 plans, everything in one figure — "includes all medications, clinician consults and follow-up labs"
  • Quarterly billing and quarterly shipping throughout, with a three-month minimum: "Everything ships and bills quarterly. Cancel anytime after the first 3 months."
  • An initial lab panel bought separately on the men's side, listed at $149 for the Complete Hormone Panel, $399 for the Advanced and $699 for the Comprehensive
  • NOT insurance. HSA and FSA are accepted at checkout through Flex
  • ⚠ Different pricing in New York and New Jersey — "due to local state requirements, we have different pricing in these two states". Every figure here is the price outside those two

Pricing, per compound

Joi + Blokes prices each compound separately, so there is no single “Joi + Blokes” price — only a price per compound. The table below shows, for each one, the price it leads with in the “Advertised” column and what a reader actually pays if they stop after one cycle in “Walk-away”, cheapest first. The “Provider” column names the compound, not the company — every row on this page is Joi + Blokes.

Systemic estrogen — capsule, molecule unnamed

Advertised "Capsule $49/mo" — the cheapest hormone Joi sells. ⚠ THE ADVERTISED FIGURE IS THE DRUG ONLY. Joi's HRT page: "For $50/month (billed quarterly), all labs and clinician visits are included. Medications are billed separately per your treatment plan." The walk-away figure adds that $50. ⛔ The same page also prints "No hidden fees, ever." and "No membership required.", and the homepage's comparison table prints "Membership Fees — JOI + BLOKES $0" — three first-party statements that cannot all be true of a $600-a-year charge. The fee is added rather than dropped, because omitting a mandatory recurring charge is the error this site exists to catch. Billed quarterly with a three-month minimum: "Everything ships and bills quarterly. Cancel anytime after the first 3 months." ⚠ JOI NEVER NAMES THE MOLECULE. The product is "Systemic Estrogen" and no page states whether it is estradiol, estriol or a conjugated preparation, which is why this row is on our hormone board and deliberately off our estradiol price board: putting it in an estradiol column would assert an identity the company does not publish.

Key terms

Show definitions
Walk-away price
What one cycle costs at the no-commitment, ongoing rate — what you actually pay if you stop after month one.
True year
The walk-away price multiplied by however many times a year it's actually billed — 12 for a calendar-month cycle, 13 for a four-week cycle.
Four-weekly billing
A cycle that repeats every 4 weeks rather than on the calendar month, so it bills 13 times in a year, not 12 — one extra charge a reader counting by "months" won't expect.
Compounded
Made to order by a pharmacy from raw ingredients, rather than dispensed as an FDA-approved, mass-manufactured product.

Bottom line

Joi + Blokes’s cheapest walk-away price is $99/mo (Systemic estrogen — capsule, molecule unnamed) — about $1,188 a year if you keep paying it every cycle. Check the pricing table above for every compound this provider sells before you commit to one.

Frequently asked questions

What does hormone therapy at Joi actually cost?

Add $50 to whatever the product card says. The cards run from $49 for a systemic estrogen capsule to $89 for a patch or a vaginal suppository, and the same page charges "$50/month (billed quarterly)" for the labs and clinician visits — "Medications are billed separately per your treatment plan." So the cheapest route is $99 a month and the dearest is $139. Everything bills quarterly with a three-month minimum, so the smallest sum you can commit is $297. Read off joiandblokes.com on August 9, 2026.

The page says "No hidden fees, ever." Is the $50 a hidden fee?

It is not hidden — it is printed one sentence later, in the same block. What it is, is contradicted. The same page's safety section says "No membership required", and the homepage's own comparison table gives the company's membership fee as $0 while giving competitors' as "$129 +". Three first-party statements about a $600-a-year charge that cannot all be true. We add the $50 to every Joi row, because leaving out a recurring charge that the pricing block itself describes as part of the model is a worse error than including one the company may consider optional. If it turns out to be genuinely skippable, every Joi figure here is $50 too high and we would want to know.

Why is TRT $149 here when the site says $99?

Because $99 requires a year paid up front. Joi + Blokes publishes the whole ladder under the badge: "Flex Plan … Commitment: 3 months, Upfront Payment: $447", "Commit & Save … 6 months", and "Full Year Commitment … Price: $99/mo, Commitment: 12 months, Upfront Payment: $1,188". There is no month-to-month plan at all, so the walk-away price is the Flex rate — $149 for TRT and $199 for enclomiphene, and even that is three months charged in one go. On enclomiphene the advertised figure is exactly half the entry price. To the company's credit the $1,188 is printed rather than buried; most sellers advertising an annual rate as a monthly one never show you the annual total.

Are the men's prices really comparable to the women's?

Not directly, and the difference runs the other way from what the numbers suggest. Joi's $59 testosterone injection is the drug alone with $50 of care beside it. The Blokes programme at $149 "includes all medications, clinician consults and follow-up labs", so nothing is added to it. Comparing $59 with $99 across those two shelves would be comparing a drug price with a whole bill. What is comparable is the all-in figure, and on that basis the women's injection route is $109 a month against $149 for the men's programme — though the men's price also covers follow-up labs that Joi's $50 covers separately.

Why are five of Joi's hormone prices missing from your estradiol board?

Because Joi does not say what is in them. The products are called "Systemic Estrogen" and "Vaginal Estrogen", and no page on the site states whether that is estradiol, estriol or a conjugated preparation. They are priced here and they are ranked on our hormone board, where the question is what a hormone product costs. They are not on a board that prices estradiol specifically, because putting them there would assert an identity the seller has never published — the same rule that keeps unnamed compounded GLP-1s off our single-molecule price boards.

Has the FDA written to Joi + Blokes?

Yes. A warning letter dated June 8, 2026 from the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, and the FDA's close-out column for it was empty when we checked on August 9, 2026, so nothing indicates it has been resolved. It is theirs and not a name collision: the letter's own body says the violations were found during a review of "Joi + Blokes' website, https://joiandblokes.com", and its recipient block carries the same support email the company publishes. The subject is how compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide were advertised — that the product labels pictured on the site suggested the company compounded the drugs "when in fact it is not", and that claims comparing them to Ozempic and Wegovy "represent that the compounded drug products you offer have been FDA-approved or otherwise evaluated for safety and effectiveness when they have not". It concerns marketing and labelling, not product quality, and it says nothing about hormone therapy. A warning letter is a public regulatory communication rather than a finding of illegal activity; this site publishes them where they exist and ranks the company on price exactly as it ranks everyone else.

Can I actually buy any of this at the prices shown?

You cannot buy it in a cart, which is worth knowing before you plan around these numbers. Both brands' main buttons carry the same variant id and it resolves to a lab panel; every medication renders as a display-only card whose cart text reads "Prescribed after lab + clinician visit". So each figure here is a published price on the company's own product page — the number a reader is meant to compare — rather than a total anyone has been charged in front of us. Two further things can move it: New York and New Jersey are priced differently, and the medication itself is only prescribed after labs and a clinician visit.

Does Joi + Blokes serve my state?

For most of what it sells, yes — its about page says it practises "telemedicine across all 50 states". Testosterone is the exception and it is a big one, because testosterone is most of this catalogue: "Due to state regulations we cannot ship testosterone to the following states: AL, AR, CT, DE, GA, HI, LA, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, OK, PA, RI and SC." That leaves 34 states and D.C. The site's own summary of that list says "all but 15 states" and then names sixteen, so count the names rather than trusting the sentence. If you are in New York or New Jersey the prices differ, and the site will tell you so only once it has worked out where you are.
