Write to Doseworth

Marla Whitfield edits Doseworth and reads every message sent to one address. A wrong price is the most useful thing you can send, and it goes to the front of the queue.

What to send

Three kinds of message, and what makes each one useful

A price looks wrong

Send the page, the company, which number (advertised, walk-away or the year total) and what the company's own page shows now, with any prepay or promo condition attached to it.

We review your company

Send the fact you dispute and the page on your own site that shows it. A figure changes when the evidence does. A review is not removed because it is unflattering.

Press or anything else

Questions about how a number was worked out are welcome. How boards are ordered is on the methodology page.

After you write

What happens to a price report

  1. 1

    Acknowledged

A reply within three business days, even if only to say it is being checked.

  2. 2

    Re-read at the source

The company's own pricing or checkout page, loaded fresh. Never an aggregator.

  3. 3

    Arithmetic re-run

The walk-away price and the year total move with it, on the real billing cycle.

  4. 4

    Published and answered

The row is updated, the page notes the correction, and you hear what we found.

The full procedure, including how a correction is recorded, is on the corrections page. What a commercial relationship does and does not change is on the disclosure page.
