More than the page says, on every plan. Medication starts at $149 a month for the Wegovy pill, $199 for the Wegovy pen, $299 for the Zepbound vial and $1,899 for Mounjaro or branded Zepbound. On top of any of those, a Hims Weight Loss Membership is required at $39 for the first month and $149 a month after. So the cheapest real cost is $298 a month, or $3,576 a year.
Is the membership optional?
No. All ten GLP-1 options on the weight-loss page carry the same footnote saying an active membership is required, so there is no medication-only route. It is billed separately from the medication, which is why it does not appear in the advertised figure.
Does Hims sell compounded semaglutide?
Not any more. Everything on the weight-loss page is an FDA-approved branded drug. That is a change: FDA's September 2025 warning letter to the company cited two claims about its compounded semaglutide, and the compounded product is no longer offered.
Does Hims have an FDA warning letter?
Yes — letter 716567, issued 9 September 2025 to Hims & Hers Health, Inc. It is a marketing and labeling matter about how compounded semaglutide was described, with no product-quality or contamination finding, and it has not been closed out. A sister letter, 716825, was issued the same day to the same company for Hers. A warning letter is a disclosure rather than a disqualification; the company is trading normally.
