Alloy Review: $0 Doctor Access on One Shelf, $99 a Month on the Other

Alloy is two shops behind one login, and the price of the door is different in each. Buy a hormone from it and every product page tells you the truth: "Includes $0 unlimited doctor access", one $49 consult at the start, and the number on the page is the number charged. Buy a GLP-1 from the same company, from the same doctors, through the same checkout, and "Alloy Weight Care is $99/month plus the cost of medication" — a standing fee larger than five of the eight drugs it is added to. Its cheapest compounded semaglutide is advertised at $70 and costs $169. Two other things the catalogue will not tell you: every hormone product is billed in 90-day blocks, which only two of the six product pages mention, and every price here is the bottom rung of a dose ladder that exists in Alloy's own commerce API and on none of its pages.

Alloy's FAQ answers "Where is Alloy available?" with "All 50 U.S. states and D.C.", read on August 9, 2026 — but two classes of product are narrower, and Alloy says so on the pages themselves rather than in the FAQ. Its weight programme pages state it is "Available in all 50 states except LA and MS", and every compounded product page states "Product is not available in AL, AR, CA, NV, LA, MS & DC." The six FDA-approved hormone products on this review are covered by the all-50 claim; the three compounded GLP-1s are not available in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Nevada, Louisiana, Mississippi or Washington, D.C.

A hormone costs what the page says: progesterone is $23 a month, the estradiol pill and the vaginal cream are $39.99, the gel and the Evamist spray are $69.99, and the patch is $74.99 — with unlimited doctor access included at no charge and one $49 consult fee at the start. A GLP-1 costs what the page says plus $99 a month, every month, because "Alloy Weight Care is $99/month plus the cost of medication." So the advertised $70 compounded semaglutide is $169, and the advertised $299 Zepbound is $398. Read off myalloy.com on August 9, 2026.

Why does a $70 drug cost $169?

Because Alloy charges separately for the care and the medicine on its weight side, and only advertises the medicine. The sentence is on /weight and in the alert block of all eight weight product pages: "Alloy Weight Care is $99/month plus the cost of medication. Medication starting at $70/month." It is not optional and it is not refundable — the Terms say "Subscription or membership fees, telemedicine consultation fees, and any other service-related charges are non-refundable." The $99 is larger than five of the eight drugs it is added to, and on the cheapest one it is 59% of the bill. The odd part is that Alloy's hormone customers pay nothing for the same access: every hormone product page prints "Includes $0 unlimited doctor access."

Is the hormone price really a month, or is it three?

It is genuinely a month's worth of medicine, and it is genuinely charged three months at a time — and only two of the six pages tell you the second half. The patch page says "Shipped and billed every 3 months" in its hero. The vaginal cream page says "Each tube is a 3 month supply, billed at $119.97", which divides to $39.99 exactly. The pill, gel, spray and progesterone pages say "1-month supply" and stop there, while Alloy's own commerce API prices every one of them per 90 days. The per-month figures on this review are correct arithmetic, but the smallest sum Alloy will actually take from you for any of them is three times what you see.

What does "starting at" mean on an Alloy price?

It means the dose, and it means Alloy has published the ladder nowhere you can read it. Its commerce API — first-party, and the same one its checkout uses — prices the estradiol pill at $119.97 per 90 days for 0.5 mg and 1 mg, $124.97 for 2 mg and $150.00 for 1.5 mg, so "starting at $39.99" can land at $50.00. The patch is stranger: the two lower strengths cost MORE than the two higher ones. On the weight side the spread is wider still — compounded tirzepatide runs $100 to $225 for the drug alone. Two products escape it: the estradiol gel is one price across five strengths and the Evamist spray has a single SKU, so those two figures are quotes rather than floors.

Why is $499 crossed out on the Wegovy page?

That is Alloy's anchor, and it is worth knowing how nearly it went unrecorded. The hero renders "Starting at $199.00" beside a struck-through "$499.00" — but the strike is a CSS rule rather than an <s> or <del> tag, so counting elements on that page returns zero and reports it clean. It was caught by looking at the rendered page. Nothing here is filed at $499. What matters more is that $199 is the 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg price in Alloy's own commerce API and 1 mg and above is $349, so the figure in orange is the entry rung. The same product's catalogue tile, meanwhile, simply says "$499" with no strike at all.

Who is Alloy for?

Women, in Alloy's own words rather than in ours — and the sentence that settles it is on the weight side, which is the side that could most easily have been sex-neutral. Its Wegovy page answers "Who is it for" with "Wegovy® is recommended for pre-, peri- and post-menopausal women who qualify for weight loss treatments". Its FAQ describes its doctors as "specifically trained in treating women in perimenopause and menopause", and its own structured data names the site "Alloy Women's Health". Read first-party on August 9, 2026. It publishes no statement refusing men; there is simply no men's programme anywhere in its 882-URL sitemap.

Does Alloy serve my state?

There are three answers on its own site and you need the narrowest one that applies to what you are buying. Its FAQ says "All 50 U.S. states and D.C." Its weight pages say "Available in all 50 states except LA and MS." And every compounded product page — the three compounded GLP-1s — says "Product is not available in AL, AR, CA, NV, LA, MS & DC." The six hormone products on this review are FDA-approved rather than compounded, so the all-50 claim is the one that governs them. Alloy deserves credit for putting the restriction in the hero of the page it applies to rather than in a footer.

Has the FDA written to Alloy?

No. The live warning-letter index was queried on August 9, 2026 under "myalloy", the spaced "my alloy", "alloy women", "alloy health" and the bare "alloy". The first three returned zero rows with the returned count matching the filtered count, so nothing was hidden by paging. The last two each returned one row — a medical-device company caught because "alloy" is also a metal. Re-matched on the company column, it is a different firm, and nothing was filed on the resemblance. The screen was run with two instrument checks in the same session: a positive control that returned SkinnyRx's February 2026 letter as a company-column match, and a close-out control on Belmar Pharma Solutions, whose March 2023 letter shows its October 2023 close-out date exactly where expected. A warning letter discloses something a reader should know and is not a finding of illegal activity — this site publishes them where they exist. Here there is nothing to publish.
