Hone Health Review: Every Price Ends in “+ membership”

Hone Health publishes a price for every hormone it sells, which is more than most of this category manages, and it puts three words after each one: "+ membership". That membership is $155 a month, it is the Premium tier, and every hormone product page on the site carries a Premium badge — so it is not a choice you make, it is a condition of buying anything. Testosterone at "from $28" is $183 a month. The estradiol patch at $58 is $213. Add the $65 entry test and the first cycle of testosterone is $248, not $28. Everything else here is unusually clean: no prepay tier, no introductory rate, a published state table and month-to-month cancellation. The whole cost story is in the three words at the end of the price.

What’s included

  • A $155/month Premium membership, which every hormone product page requires — testing every three months, physician consultations, and access to the whole medication catalogue
  • An entry biomarker test at $65, charged once. Hone's buy box shows it struck through from $165
  • Month-to-month billing with no commitment — Hone's own words are "No commitments. Cancel anytime."
  • NOT the medication. Hone's help centre: "What Your Membership Fee Does NOT Cover — The cost of medications — these are billed separately at the time of shipment."
  • NOT insurance of any kind. Hone states it does not accept insurance; the memberships and tests are HSA/FSA eligible

Pricing, per compound

Hone Health prices each compound separately, so there is no single “Hone Health” price — only a price per compound. The table below shows, for each one, the price it leads with in the “Advertised” column and what a reader actually pays if they stop after one cycle in “Walk-away”, cheapest first. The “Provider” column names the compound, not the company — every row on this page is Hone Health.

Anastrozole

Advertised "$22/mo + membership" — a flat figure, not a "from". Walk-away is the drug price Hone prints plus the $155/month Premium membership its own product pages require ("Premium Tier" badge; Basic at $25 reaches only "Treatments labeled BASIC"). The membership is charged once per patient, not once per product, so a reader on two of these pays it once. Billed monthly — 12 charges — but Hone says some prescriptions ship as a 28-day supply on a cycle "not linked" to billing, so the annual figure is a floor.

Testosterone injections — cypionate

Advertised "From $28/mo + membership" — a published floor, and the same product and price appear on Hone's menopause page for women. ⚠ Hone's own help centre prices this product "Starts at $28/vial" rather than per month, and a vial is a dispensing unit; the site's "/mo" framing is what is carried here and the conflict is in the cons. Key terms

Show definitions
Walk-away price
What one cycle costs at the no-commitment, ongoing rate — what you actually pay if you stop after month one.
True year
The walk-away price multiplied by however many times a year it's actually billed — 12 for a calendar-month cycle, 13 for a four-week cycle.
Four-weekly billing
A cycle that repeats every 4 weeks rather than on the calendar month, so it bills 13 times in a year, not 12 — one extra charge a reader counting by "months" won't expect.
Compounded
Made to order by a pharmacy from raw ingredients, rather than dispensed as an FDA-approved, mass-manufactured product.

Bottom line

Hone Health’s cheapest walk-away price is $177/mo (Anastrozole) — about $2,124 a year if you keep paying it every cycle. Check the pricing table above for every compound this provider sells before you commit to one.

Frequently asked questions

What does Hone Health actually cost?

Take the number on the product page and add $155. Testosterone injections at "from $28/mo" are $183 a month; the estradiol patch at $58 is $213; bi-est cream at $80 is $235. The $155 is the Premium membership, and every hormone product page on the site carries a "Premium Tier" badge, so it is not optional for anyone buying a medication — Hone's own comparison table gives Premium "All Hone Treatments" and Basic only "Treatments labeled BASIC". Add the $65 entry biomarker test and a first cycle of testosterone comes to $248. Read off honehealth.com on August 9, 2026.

Is the membership really mandatory?

For a medication, yes. Hone sells two tiers — Basic at $25 a month and Premium at $155 — and the Basic tier reaches only the treatments Hone labels BASIC, while every hormone product page is badged Premium. What the membership buys is real: biomarker testing every three months, physician consultations and the full catalogue. But it is a care fee, and Hone's help centre says so in as many words: "What Your Membership Fee Does NOT Cover — The cost of medications — these are billed separately at the time of shipment." That is why every figure on this review is a sum of the two.

Does the membership get cheaper if I take more than one medication?

Effectively yes, and it is the best thing about the pricing. The $155 is charged per patient, not per product, so a reader on an estradiol patch and progesterone together pays $58 + $49 + $155 = $262 rather than the $213 and $204 in the two rows added up. The rows are priced one product at a time because that is how a board has to compare them, but the second and third product cost only what the drug costs. Anyone on a multi-product regimen should do that arithmetic themselves before comparing Hone with a seller that has no membership at all.

Why is the testosterone price the one you trust least?

Because Hone publishes it two different ways. The marketing page says "From $28/mo"; the help centre says the same product "Starts at $28/vial". A vial is a quantity of medicine, not a length of time, and how long one lasts depends on the dose — which Hone also declines to publish, saying only that "Final costs may vary by dosage and modality". The row here carries the site's own per-month framing because that is the surface a buyer meets, and this answer exists so the reader knows the seller has said something different elsewhere.

Why is DHEA cream missing from the prices above?

Because Hone publishes two prices for it and we will not choose between them. Its product page says "$38/mo + membership"; the menopause page it is listed from says "$56/mo + membership". Both were read on August 9, 2026. Filing $38 would flatter Hone by $18 a month and filing $56 would penalise it by the same, and a board that quietly picks one side of a seller's contradiction is doing the thing this site exists to catch. So it is reported and not ranked.

Does Hone sell GLP-1s?

One: compounded liraglutide, at "From $160/mo + membership", which is $315 a month all-in. Semaglutide is not sold at all — there is no product page and no price for it anywhere on the site, and the liraglutide page carries an orphaned "Learn More About Compounded Semaglutide" heading with nothing underneath, which is a broken heading rather than an offer. Tirzepatide is prescribed through Hone but bought from LillyDirect, so Hone charges nothing for the drug itself and no tirzepatide row appears here.

Does Hone serve my state?

Check the table rather than the map, because availability is per programme rather than per company. Fourteen jurisdictions appear on none of Hone's four programme lists — Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina and Washington, D.C. Several more are served only in part: California and Hawaii are Basic only and marked "no injectables", which rules out the cheapest testosterone route; Alabama has neither men's programme; Idaho has only men's Plus; Maine has no women's Premium; and New York has no men's Plus. The checkout enforces it — its own code carries the message "Oops! We're unavailable in your state!"

Has the FDA written to Hone Health?

No, and the screen was run three ways because Hone trades under a name that is not its legal entity. The live warning-letter index was queried on August 9, 2026 for "honehealth" (zero rows), "hone health" (41), "time therapeutics" (12) and "broad health" (78). Every result set came back in full rather than paged, and every row was re-checked against the company column: none of them is Hone Health, Time Therapeutics, Inc. or Broad Health P.A., which are the two entities named in Hone's own footer and Terms. Nothing was filed on a name resemblance. The screen ran with a positive control that returned SkinnyRx's February 2026 letter and a close-out control on Belmar Pharma Solutions, so the absence is a finding rather than a broken query.
