What FDA cited
Quoted verbatim from the letter dated
Read the full letter →This letter is to advise you that the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reviewed your website content at the internet address https://joinweightcare.com, in December 2025, and has observed that your website offers compounded drug products, including semaglutide and tirzepatide drug products.
- 1
“The compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide products displayed on your website identify “WeightCare” on the pictured label, suggesting WeightCare is the compounder of those drugs when in fact it is not.”
- 2
“Accordingly, the representations on your website that WeightCare is the compounder of these drug products are false or misleading, and the products are therefore misbranded under sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the FDCA”
- 3
“The representations identified in this letter put you on notice of our concerns but do not represent an exhaustive list of violations.”

Is WeightCare still operating?
joinweightcare.com returned a live storefront on 2026-08-09 titled "Semaglutide and Tirzepatide Online | WeightCare", publishing renewal pricing directly on the page — a $499 monthly renewal, a $997 three-month renewal for 7.5 mg/week over 12 weeks, and a $1350 three-month high-dose renewal for up to 15 mg/week — with add-to-cart markup present.
What this means for what you pay
There is an asymmetry on this page that a price shopper should see plainly. The pricing is specific and public — $499 a month, $997 for twelve weeks at 7.5 mg, $1350 at the high dose — and the company behind it was, at the time FDA wrote, hard to place: the agency's own recipient block records no street address at all, only a country and an email on the same domain as the shop. Then the one finding FDA made is that the name printed on the vial is not the name of whoever compounded it. Put those together and the picture is a business that is transparent about what it charges and opaque about who it is and who makes the product. That is not a safety finding, and nothing here suggests the medication is other than what a compounder supplied. It is a finding about traceability, and traceability is exactly what you would want before committing to a three-month prepayment, because a renewal schedule is a bet on a company still being there to honour it.
Has WeightCare responded?
As of , FDA’s public tracking for this letter does not show a logged company response. Companies are not required to make a response public, and FDA does not always update this field promptly — this is not evidence WeightCare failed to respond.
