“This letter is to advise you that the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reviewed your website content at the internet address https://medvi.io, in December 2025, and has observed that your website offers compounded drug products, including semaglutide and tirzepatide drug products.”
“The compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide products displayed on your website identify "MEDVi" on the pictured label, suggesting MEDVi is the compounder of those drugs when in fact it is not. Accordingly, the representations on your website that MEDVi is the compounder of these drug products are false or misleading, and the products are therefore misbranded under sections 502(a) and 502(bb) of the FDCA.”
“Additionally, the following claims concerning compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide products appear on your website: "Same active ingredient as Wegovy® and Ozempic®." "Same active ingredient as Mounjaro® and Zepbound®."”
“Compounded drug products are not FDA-approved. Your claims imply that your products have been FDA-approved or otherwise evaluated for safety and effectiveness when they have not.”
Is MEDVi still operating?
Third-party GLP-1 review coverage and a LegitScript-certification listing describe MEDVi as an active telehealth coordinator as of April 2026. Our own direct check of medvi.io in August 2026 returned a server error rather than a page — on its own that is not evidence the business has closed, but it means we could not independently confirm the storefront is currently live; confirm the site loads before ordering.
What this means for what you pay
The finding here is about MEDVi's website copy, not the medication itself: FDA said MEDVi's own labeling implied MEDVi compounds the drug (a network pharmacy does, not MEDVi), and that comparing the product's active ingredient to Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro and Zepbound implied FDA had evaluated it, which it had not. Treat any pricing page that leans on those brand-name comparisons the same way FDA read this one — as marketing, not an FDA endorsement.
